Dr Yves Gisseleire DMV Cert SAD MRCVS
Yves ran the practice for over 15 years as the clinical director and head vet. In early 2017, he stepped down from this role but is still with us part time as a senior vet. He also has special interests in dermatology and exotic species such as birds and reptiles, completing an RCVS post graduate certificate in dermatology in 1993. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor hobbies such as walking, bird watching and climbing.
He also has a pet tortoise called John.
Dr Catherine Soffair BSc(Hons) BVetMed(Hons) MRCVS
Catherine is our clinical director and head vet. She has worked in small animal first opinion practice after graduating from the RVC in 2010, and has been at Bishops since January 2012. She has also been to Zambia 3 times and volunteered at Pet Vet, a veterinary clinic there. Catherine particularly enjoys looking after our feline patients and has 2 demanding rescue cats of her own - Nelly and Cookie (pictured).
Dr Pom Figgures BVetMed MRCVS
Pom started working at Bishops in April 2017 after working in mixed and most recently small animal practice in north London. She has a special interest in medical cases, especially older cats, and is studying for a Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice in Small Animal Medicine. She is also the proud mummy of Pepper, her own feline friend!
Katharine Richardson DipAVN RVN
Katharine is another long standing member of our staff. After qualifying, she completed a post graduate Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (SA) in order to develop her skills further. You may have seen her dog Benji helping out on reception at various times. She is now working with us part time since having her 2 sons Toby and Milo. She is also kept busy at home with her three rescue cats.
Holly Spelzini RVN
Holly has been at Bishops since 2004 and is our clinical coach - responsible for training our student veterinary nurses. She has an interest in animal behaviour and offers consultations to dogs and cats with behavioural issues. She also runs our famous puppy parties and especially enjoys officiating over puppy playtime! She is pictured here with her rescue Boston Terrier, Hattie, who is bound to give you a warm welcome in reception.
Georgie Steele RVN
Georgie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) soon after joining us in 2012. She especially enjoys looking after the big dogs that we see. She dedicates much of her free time to her dogs Honey, a labrador, and Oscar, a lurcher, her rabbits Oakley, Walter and Lily, her rescue guinea pigs and her string of competition horses!
Julie Willcox RVN
Julie is a long standing member of staff who is also part time since having her 2 daughters Hannah and Amy. Her 2 rescue cats Morag and Mabel are also on hand to keep her entertained!
Sharon Winkler BSc (Hons) Osteopathy, PG Cert (Small Animal Rehabilitation)
Sharon is our visiting osteopath/physiotherapist. She has been working with people since 1999 and has now branched out into working with small animals (dogs and cats). Sharon is a highly qualified practitioner in small animal physiotherapy, having successfully acquired a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Rehabilitation, and has extensive experience in the osteopathic treatment of small animals. Sharon is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the Association of Animal Osteopaths, ACPAT and IRVAP. She is the proud owner of 2 black Labradors, Widgeon and Shadow.
Sarah Brophy RVN
Sarah has been with us since 2005, completing her training here and qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2009. She has been our head nurse since 2011. Her spare time is also dominated by animals as she has 2 border terriers, Wilf and Tess.
Debi is a student nurse who started her training in Sepember 2016. She is pictured here with her excitable Boxer, Opie and is also proud mum of a rescue Boxer - Juice!
